Just for fun: We’re increasingly obsessed with the music in the first trailer for “Wall Street II: Money Never Sleeps.” Less than 15 seconds of research on the Internet reveals that it is “Ricochet,” a song by a band called Shiny Toy Guns. The first line of the song: “Welcome back to where I’m gonna have you.” We’re a little bit late to the game, having missed its previous sampling in Knight Rider and elsewhere, but better late than never. Students, fans pack UC Riverside’s Heat Festival
More than 11,000 people had purchased tickets to the event going into Saturday, organizers said. The capacity was 12,000, with other concertgoers purchasing tickets at the door.

Shiny Toy Guns kicked off the music on the stage, but went on a few minutes late. In the meantime, two people threw shirts (or maybe beach towels?) out to the crowd. Free stuff is always a good distraction tactic.

Lincoln Stars Shine During Music’s Biggest Night
If the number of hits on YouTube is any indication, the commercials have been wildly successful. The Lincoln MKZ ad, which features Shiny Toy Guns singing “Major Tom,” has received more than 447,000 views and was voted the most popular ad song of the year for 2009 by Adtunes.
